What is the difference between a doula and a montrice?

Someone providing monitrice service is one who has training in assessing a woman's vital             signs, palpate fetal position, monitoring fetal heart tones, and checking cervical progress              (when requested).  This service can be especially useful for families looking to complete a             vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and attempting a hospital trial of labor after                            cesarean (TOLAC).
